The Risk Management Experts Forum is pleased to announce the conclusion of its monthly seminar, held on Wednesday evening, December 18, 2024, via Zoom, titled:
Women and the Formation of Boards of Directors… Reality and Ambition
The seminar was attended by a distinguished group of forum members and individuals interested in developing governance practices and enhancing the role of women in the business sector. The seminar was presented by Dr. Nadia Al-Anani, founder and director of Al-Anani Law Firm, who discussed key concepts related to diversity in boards of directors and the experiences of different countries in promoting women’s participation.
The seminar included a presentation of facts and figures on women’s representation in boards of directors in Jordan, comparing it with other countries. It also addressed the major challenges and the existing and proposed legislation aimed at supporting women’s participation both locally and globally. Furthermore, a variety of suggestions and solutions were presented to create a more inclusive and empowering environment for women in decision-making roles.
The seminar saw an engaging level of interaction from the audience through questions and meaningful discussions. On the sidelines of the seminar, a short video was presented about the membership certificate to be issued to forum members, and the dedicated electronic profile for each forum member was also showcased.
